We have recently had a really interesting workshop which was all about designs that get other people involved. We worked as a group to create a really interesting piece. We were given A, L, I, G, H, T letters and told to do a small piece of design, photograph it and then pass it on. The photos were then going to be compiled by Matt into a piece of motion footage.
There was a lot of images taken which have been uploaded to Flickr, but I have included one of the letters development on here to show how it changed.
I have uploaded a quick video here. Due to some strange reason its made them really stretched
All the files for all the letters can be seen here:

Good examples of participatory design could be the Manchester City football kit.
"For the new shirt, we wanted to combine the elements of football and sound in a new and original way. We went into the stadium to record a section of the fans singing Blue Moon and from this recording, we extracted an audio clip and created a soundwave graphic which is used within the shirt. One of the most powerful ways in which any fan can positively influence a football match is through sound. We’ve harnessed that and made it part of the Manchester City home kit."
By getting the fans involved and making the sound waves part of the design, it makes them feel included within the football team.
